REPORTS
MAYOR Woods has been working to finalize the blower project. Woods and Gray had a meeting with the contractor, and they will be starting the project soon. There has been a lot a of questions about the subdivision but not much has been happening with that.
PUBLIC WORKS is working on painting streets and curbs, tree trimming and town clean up. The chipper worked well for the first clean up. Several residents have asked about the wood chips. We will work on a plan to distribute wood chips to those who want them.
FIRE DEPT has been very busy. We had 4 car crashes, 6 fires and 3 false alarms. We are short hand and very busy. The fire department did have two trucks on the Banana Lake fire.
POLICE report was presented by Mayor Woods
LIBRARY report presented by Starla Rice
ZONING COMPLIANCE – Mayor Woods reported it has been busy for zoning compliance with a lot of questions. Alameda’s drilled across the road instead of where they originally planned.
PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD- Weatherly reported he is trying to get the committee together to have a meeting. Woods is still having contact with the Tribe regarding the Skate park.
PUBLIC COMMENT FOR EACH AGENDA ITEM WILL BE ALLOWED
OLD BUSINESS
NEW BUSINESS
VARIANCE REQUEST GWEN HANSON- The Garage at 412 2nd Ave S. There is a zoning compliance permit that was issued for the garage at this location. The permit was approved as drawn, however when the garage was built the building was built outside of the property boundaries by approximately two feet. Hanson is trying to sell the property and is running into issues due to the garage and is requesting a town to grant a variance allowing the garage to stay where it sits. In the event the garage ever needs to be replaced it would have to meet the zoning requirements at the time it is being rebuilt. Hanson believes the new survey that was recently competed was differen than the survey done when the garage was originally built. Motion to grant variance Carr/Welker 4-0 pass
LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT REQUEST ALAN LAMB – Lamb has 5 lots and he would like to have lot line adjustments approved. Alan explained his plan to use his hot water well to supply water to soaking tubs on each of the lots. The well would be shared for that purpose. He will be required to pay for water and sewer hookups for each lot. His plan is to build a tiny house/cabin on each of the smaller lots. There was discussion that his plans would be commercially used instead of residential. He also explained his plan to discharge the tub water into city sewer and there was discussion on metering the discharge. Gray explained that the other hot springs businesses had their own discharge permits and did not discharge into the city sewer. Lamb explained his plan to sell lots 12 and 13 to fund his project and would likely use the others as short term rentals or Airbnb type properties. Motion to allow lot line changes Weatherly/Smith 4-0 pass
