The General Fund of the Town of Hot Springs receives tax revenue through Sanders County based on property values in the Town.
For the fiscal year 2016the Town is authorized to levy 282.81 mills. The current value of a mill is $366.697. This results in $103,706 if all property taxes are paid.
Also in 2009, a voted public safety mill passed providing an additional 75 mills or $27,502.

The general fund finances all public safety and general government services to the residents.
