The county operates a container dump site at 38 Little Bitterroot Rd, east of Highway 28. This site is owned and operated by Sanders County, and any questions or comments related to the dump must be addressed to Sanders County.

These are the list of fees located at the refuse site. Pay with cash or check.

During Summer months, the Town sponsors “Clean-Up Days”, typically on the 3rd Thursday of those months, where Public Works will remove certain wastes.
Acceptable Waste:
- Tree Trimmings
- Bagged Grass or Leaves
- Unpainted Lumber (Nails/Screws/Staples in Lumber Is Okay)
Non-Acceptable Waste:
- Household Garbage
- Tires, or Any Other Material That Is Toxic When Burned (Roofing Shingles, ETC)
- Concrete/Cement
- Metals or Automotive Parts of Any Kind
- Biological Waste (Animal Carcass, RV Dump Waste, ETC)
- Any Other Waste Not Listed
Also, Public Works personnel may perform pick-up of various items and transport them to the Sanders County dump-site on Little Bitterroot Rd, such as fridges and ovens, but the owner must pay the associated fee prior to or at time of pick up. This service is ONLY offered June – September.
For those who will remove the Acceptable Waste themselves, you may schedule a time to dump that waste at the Town equipment yard. Absolutely no self-serve dumping. You must schedule and request permission with Town Hall, and pay the associated fees of $20 per truck load (standard pick-up truck).
